Former DU golfer Ellie Givens posts best finish ever on Ladies European Tour; ex-Buff Jeremy Paul notches 3 straight top-10s to wrap up Forme Tour schedule

Former University of Denver golfer Ellie Givens tied for fifth place on Saturday at the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open, marking her best showing ever in a Ladies European Tour event.

Givens went 68-68-68 for a 12-under-par total of 204 in Switzerland, which left her four strokes behind winner Atthaya Thitikul of Thailand.

Givens, who made 18 birdies and six bogeys for the week, earned 8,100 euros. It was her third top-10 showing of 2021 on the LET.

Elsewhere for tour players with major Colorado connections:

— Former University of Colorado golfer Jeremy Paul finished the Forme Tour season with three consecutive top-10 showings after tying for seventh on Friday in the season-ending Forme Tour Championship in Dallas, Pa.

Paul fired three straight rounds of 67 for a 12-under-par 201 total, making 15 birdies and three bogeys for the week. He ended up five strokes back of champion Brad Miller.

Paul went ninth, third and seventh in his final three Forme starts of 2021, and he posted four top-10s overall this year on the circuit. Paul ended up 10th on the season-long points list for the Forme Tour, where many PGA Tour Canada players competed in 2021.
