The CGA Communications Manager is a new position supporting the Membership and Resource Development of the CGA. This position will work with key CGA staff to coordinate and support the development and implementation of the CGA’s communications and marketing programs. This position reports to the Chief Development Officer.

This program is designed to give experience to individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in golf administration, while assisting state and regional golf associations in the promotion of amateur golf, on a short-term, entry-level basis.
This internship involves exposure to all aspects of golf administration including membership services, handicap inquiries and support, course rating and measuring, communications, social media, junior golf, other youth program initiatives, and general office administration with a strong emphasis on tournament administration.
This internship is designed to focus primarily on social media, public relations, marketing and communications. This person must demonstrate organizational skills, oral and written communication skills, and attention to detail, knowledge and experience in social media including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and an interest in golf administration.
These three-month programs are for individuals interested in working in the golf industry over the 2022 summer.

This internship involves exposure to all aspects of youth and adult golf instruction and player development including, but not limited to: golf instruction and outreach program administration;
participant coordination and communication; website updates and administration; onsite assistant coordinator for outreach programs; volunteer administration; and exposure to the various golf association
and golf operations departments.
