Denver native Mark Hubbard scores rare personal back-to-back top-10s on PGA Tour

By Gary Baines – 5/11/2025

Mark Hubbard accomplished something on Sunday he’d done just once prior in his golf career.

With a seventh-place showing at the OneFlight Myrtle Beach Classic in South Carolina, the Denver native posted top-10s in back-to-back weeks on the PGA Tour for just the second time in 246 starts on golf’s top circuit.

The Colorado Academy graduate tied for fifth last Sunday at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson in Texas. His only previous PGA Tour top-10s in consecutive weeks came in July 2022 when he placed third in the Barbasol Championship and fourth in the Barracuda Championship. (For the record, Hubbard recorded one other set of consecutive top-10s on the PGA Tour — but those came two weeks apart in 2023.)

In his last three non-team PGA Tour events, Hubbard has certainly “sprung forward”, going 12th place, fifth and seventh.

In Myrtle Beach, Hubbard posted scores of 68-71-67-66 for a 12-under-par total, which left him three strokes behind champion Ryan Fox. Over the final two rounds combined, Hubbard carded a dozen birdies and three bogeys.

Hubbard has jumped up to 88th in the season-long FedExCup standings.
