Fort Collins’ Dillon Stewart wins in just his second start on PGA Tour Americas; he’s already in top 10 in season-long point standings

By Gary Baines – 7/14/2025

Dillon Stewart apparently is a very quick learner when it comes to competing on PGA Tour Americas.

The Fort Collins resident, winner of the 2023 CGA Amateur, tied for ninth earlier this month in his PGA Tour Americas debut, then struck for the top prize by winning the Bromont Open on Monday morning in Quebec, Canada.

Stewart, a graduate of Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Collins and of Oklahoma State, recorded scores of 63-63-66-67 for a 21-under-par total and a one-stroke victory. He played his final hole on Monday — making a par — after play was suspended by lightning on Sunday.

For the tournament, Stewart made one eagle, 23 birdies and four bogeys. In eight rounds on PGA Tour Americas, Stewart has posted seven rounds in the 60s, including three 63s.

The victory vaulted Stewart into ninth place in the season-long PGA Tour Americas points standings. If he’s still in the top 10 following the season-ending Fortinet Cup Championship in British Columbia, Canada Sept. 25-28, he’ll earn a 2026 Korn Ferry Tour card.

Sunday’s win follows on the heels of Stewart’s triumphs in the Laramie Open late last month and in the Sinclair Rocky Mountain Open in Grand Junction last August.

Stewart, 24, earned PGA Tour Americas status through Q-school last month.

Stewart is a former Junior Golf Alliance of Colorado boys player of the year who won the 2018 individual title in the Junior America’s Cup, which features some of the top junior golfers from the western U.S., Canada and Mexico. He also led Colorado to its first team title ever in the boys JAC. Also that year, he became the first Colorado boy to win the AJGA Hale Irwin Colorado Junior, and also earned a second AJGA title. In addition, Stewart captured the 5A state high school individual championship and led Fossil Ridge to its first team title in boys golf.
