Second edition of popular Colorado Championship at Todd Creek on Annika Women’s All-Pro Tour set for second half of August in 2026

It sounds like the first Annika Women’s All-Pro Tour event held in Colorado must have made an impression.
When the Annika WAPT recently announced its 2026 schedule, this is part of what the tour had to say about the tournament at Todd Creek Golf Club in Thornton:
“After its inaugural showing, this event has become a favorite, celebrated for its scenic course and outstanding hospitality. In 2025, Jieni Li from Illinois secured her first professional title here with a 12-under-par finish in front of the largest crowd in Annika WAPT history.”
With that as a backdrop, the tour made public its schedule for next year, and the Colorado Championship at Todd Creek will be the 12th of 13 Annika WAPT events planned.
The Colorado Championship, which concluded on Aug. 1 this year, will move back a bit on the calendar, to Aug. 18-21, in 2026. It’s the tour’s only event scheduled for August. A $55,000 purse is expected. Last year, Li earned $10,000 for her victory at Todd Creek.
Most Annika WAPT tournaments are 54-hole events, but the Colorado Championship is one of five 72-hole competitions planned for 2026.
When Li, a former Northwestern golfer, won last summer at Todd Creek, she noted the number of fans in attendance.
“I can’t believe that many people came out for us — not just for me but for all the girls who were playing,” she said. “(They were) cheering us up and all of them were bringing out good energy. It means a lot to all of us.”
Since 2019, the Women’s All-Pro Tour has been one of the top women’s mini tours held in the U.S. Starting in 2024, the WAPT joined with World Golf Hall of Famer Annika Sorenstam for a five-year strategic alliance.
The idea behind the tour is to provide playing opportunities for female professionals and an additional path for them to reach the Epson Tour and eventually possibly the LPGA Tour. At each Annika WAPT event, the top two finishers earn exemptions into a selected Epson Tour tournament.
