Colorado Golf Expo moving for the second time in recent years; 2026 show set for March 6-8 at National Western Center’s new Livestock Center

By Gary Baines – 5/1/2025

The Colorado Golf Expo, which for decades was a fixture at one location, will move its home base for the second time in the last several years.

The Expo, previously known as the Denver Golf Expo, announced on Thursday that its 2026 show will take place March 6-8 at the National Western Center’s currently-under-construction Livestock Center (LVC) in Denver, east of I-25 and just north of I-70. That’s the area where the National Western Stock Show is held each winter.

The Golf Expo, conducted at the Denver Mart for many years before moving to the Colorado Convention Center for its last four editions, will now be based at its third site of the 2020s.

“This move will allow the Colorado Golf Expo to expand its offerings and enhance the overall experience for attendees and exhibitors alike. The LVC at the National Western Center provides ample space for more vendors, interactive demonstrations, and convenient parking,” Thursday’s press release said.

Kevin Morton purchased the Expo from Mark and Lynn Cramer in late 2022.

“There were several things that convinced me to move forward with the new location,” Morton said in an email on Thursday. “They will have a better parking set-up. We can be more consistent with dates for the Expo. The back halls at the Convention Center are a long way from the front of the building, and the new hall will (make it) easier to get in and out of the parking lot. (And the) National Western has easy access on and off of I-70.”

In the press release, Morton said, “We are incredibly excited about this new chapter for the Colorado Golf Expo. The move to the LVC at the National Western Center will allow us to create an even more dynamic and comprehensive event for golf enthusiasts of all levels. We look forward to welcoming everyone to this new venue.”

A late-April update on the National Western Center’s website.

After the Denver Mart closed in 2021, the Golf Expo moved to the Colorado Convention Center in 2022 as there was no in-person show in 2021 due to Covid-19 safety concerns. The CCC has presented some challenges for the Expo in the years since, including parking cost and availability downtown, and sometimes-considerable walks for attendees from the main entrance of the CCC to the hall being used for the Golf Expo.

As for the 2026 site, according to the National Western Center website, “The Livestock Center is the campus’ most versatile building and will provide the campus with new flexible, year-round space that will support the annual Stock Show and a wide variety of other activities, such as: community events, sporting events, graduations, concerts, livestock auctions, trade shows, banquets, and other uses.”

An April 25 update posted on the National Western Center website says, “Progress in the Livestock Center at the National Western Center! Plaza work is officially under way and will continue through spring, summer and fall.”

Since moving to the Colorado Convention Center in 2022, the Colorado Golf Expo has averaged about 8,500 cumulative attendance over three days — which is roughly the same as the norm for the final six years the show was held at the Denver Mart (2015-20).

This year’s Expo was conducted in early March (March 7-9, to be precise) for what is believed to be the first time for an in-person Colorado/Denver Golf Expo, after having been a February fixture before that. Exhibitor space sold out in 2025, with nearly 100 exhibitors on hand, not including the eight or nine manufacturers that were based at the driving range/demo area.

Much of the focus at the Expo continues to be offering early-year opportunity to get deals on merchandise, equipment, services and rounds of golf; a place to try out new clubs, get free 10-minute lessons from Colorado PGA professionals, and a chance to learn more about what’s going on in Colorado golf from organizations such as the CGA and the CPGA. The Expo also offers contests, interactive games and entertainment, and information on travel destinations.
