2025 Parent-Child Championship

GRAND JUNCTION – The 2025 Parent-Child Championship took place at the scenic Tiara Rado Golf Course in Grand Junction. This 36-hole competition brings parents and children together to compete against other teams. Trophies are awarded to the top gross and net teams. Additionally, the Loel and Caleb Lierman Award is presented to the team that has a junior 18 years old or younger with the lowest gross score.

Over the two-day competition, teams played 18 holes of Modified Chapman and then 18 holes of traditional Foursome Stroke Play.

Out of the gate, the 2022 Parent-Child Champions, Kent Moore and Steven Moore, took to the top of the leaderboard and never gave up that position. During the first round, team Moore went 8-under, finishing with a total of 63. The closest teams to them were Andrew and Chris Carlson and Cole and Tim Kratz, going 3-under with a total of 68.

The second round proved to be more challenging as none of the teams went under par. Team Moore kept the lead and finished with a two-day total of 4-under, 138, making them the 2025 CGA Parent-Child Champions.
