Day one of the 37th CGA Mid-Amateur Championship concluded in favor of Pinery Country Club's Ryan Plummer, who wrapped up the day with a score of 3-under-par 69.
Right behind him is a four-way tie between Cole Nygren of Lake Valley Golf Club and Bryan Rusin of City Park, along with both Wehman Hopke and Nick Ellis of Metro Denver e-Club. The group concluded by shooting 2-under-par 70.
Defending champion Colin Prater is currently in a four-way tie for tenth place after he shot 1-over-par 73.
In the final tournament of the 2023 season, the Mid-Am returned to Steamboat Springs' very own Haymaker Golf Course for the first time in over a decade. The event is open to all active CGA Members, age 25 and older on or before September 29, 2023.
After tomorrow, the field will be cut to 40 players and ties. Tee times start at 10 a.m.
