Kupcho to Compete in U.S. Women's Open

Coloradan Jennifer Kupcho sits T47 after shooting a one-over-par 72 at the 2022 U.S. Women’s Open at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club in Southern Pines, NC. Kupcho’s only birdies came on the par-4 eleventh hole and the par-5 fifteenth. Kupcho teed off on the ninth hole alongside Lexi Thompson who, at age 27, is playing in her 16th U.S. Women’s Open. Jin Young Ko, who is ranked No. 1 on the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, rounded out the threesome. Thompson shot a 3-under-par 68 while Ko finished 2-under with a 69. The trio is scheduled to tee off Friday, June 3 at 12:24 pm (MDT). Mina Harigae sits atop the leaderboard with just the sixth recorded score of 64 in U.S. Women's Open history.
