2024 Colorado Pacific Coast Amateur Team Named

The Colorado Golf Association is pleased to announce its Morse Cup team for the 2024 Pacific Coast Amateur, which will be held at the famed Chambers Bay Golf Club in University Place, Washington. This year's team is comprised of three highly competitive collegiate players: Connor Jones, Hunter Swanson, and Matthew Wilkinson.

Serving as the team captain is CGA Board Member and former college golf coach Mark Crabtree. “I like the makeup of this team and know they will represent Colorado in an outstanding way. Each is having a very successful summer campaign and we believe that will continue at Chambers Bay later this summer,” said Crabtree.

Meet the Team

Connor Jones just completed his college career at Colorado State University.

Accomplishments:

• Current WAGR ranking: 109
• 2024 Elite Amateur Series—5^th at Sunnehanna Am and 36^th at Northeast Am
• 2023 Colorado Golf Hall of Fame Person of the Year
• 2023 U.S. Amateur
• 2022 CGA Player of the Year (captured both the CGA Amateur and CGA Match Play Championships)
• 2022 Mountain West Conference Champion

Hunter Swanson just completed his sophomore season at the University of Colorado.

Accomplishments:

• Current WAGR ranking: 417
• 2024 Southwestern Am- 3^rd Place
• 2024 Elite Amateur Series—round of 32 at North and South Amateur
• 2024 CU season—T5 at Maui Jim Invitational with collegiate career-best 65
• 2023 Pacific Coast Amateur—13^th
• 2022 Colorado Golf Hall of Fame Future Famer

Matthew Wilkinson just completed his sophomore season at Colorado State University.

Accomplishments:

• 2024 CGA Match Play Champion
• 2024 CSU season—T6 at Mark Simpson Invitational
• 2022 Colorado Golf Hall of Fame Future Famer
