Founded in 2012 at CommonGround Golf Course, the Solich Caddie & Leadership Academy gives you the opportunity to develop your leadership potential through a foundation built on caddying.
Start the best first job learning the caddie trade, and participate in our holistic summer program by attending weekly leadership and financial literacy classes, and serve your community through volunteer opportunities. Meet your monthly requirements and earn educational grants every month.
Solich Caddie & Leadership Academy participants receive support toward post-secondary opportunities with many qualifying for the Evans Scholarship.

CommonGround Chapter (Aurora)

Meridian Chapter (Englewood)
Launched in 2015 at Meridian Golf Course
Grand Junction Chapter
Expanded in 2017 to Lincoln Park and Tiara Rado Golf Courses
Fort Collins Chapter
Newest chapter, established in 2022 at Fort Collins Country Club
Affiliate Clubs Where Solich Graduates Caddie
After completing the Solich Academy, you’ll be placed into an established caddie program at a premier Denver-area club. These affiliate clubs provide continued employment, mentorship, and pathways to Evans Scholarships:

- Denver Country Club (Applications for the 2026 season are closed)
- Lakewood Country Club (Applications for the 2026 caddie are closed)
Additional affiliate clubs welcome Solich graduates into their programs throughout the Denver area.

Application Requirements
- Age: Must have completed 8th grade
- Academic Excellence: Minimum 3.0 GPA (report cards required)
- Financial Need: Family income $80,000 or less
- Work Ethic & Attitude: No golf experience necessary, but strong work ethic and positive attitude required
Participation Requirements
To earn your $600 monthly educational grant, you must complete:
- 12 loops per month (36 total by summer's end)
- Weekly leadership classes (held Mondays, one hour long, 10 weeks total)
- 2 volunteer hours per month (6 total by summer's end)
- Activity tracker documenting loops, classes, and volunteer hours
The program runs Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

Q: How old do I need to be?
Caddies are accepted upon completion of 8th grade.

Q: Do I need to play golf or know about the sport?
No golf experience required. You'll learn everything during training through online resources and hands-on instruction.

Q: How do I get paid?
Complete monthly requirements and receive $600 educational grants per month ($1,800 total per summer). You may also receive tips from golfers.

Q: What do I wear?
White collared shirt, khaki pants or shorts, tennis shoes. Hat provided.

Q: Where does training take place?
At your chapter's course. Leadership classes are held at Aurora Academy (CommonGround chapter), Meridian Golf Club (Meridian chapter), and virtually for Grand Junction and Fort Collins chapters.

Q: How long is training?
April and May, after school and on weekends.

Q: How am I assigned loops?
Caddie managers at your club will coordinate how loops are scheduled.
