On Thursday, two other divisions joined in the fun for the qualifying process for the prestigious IMG Academy Junior World Championships.

Four boys players -- two each in the 11-12 and 13-14 age divisions -- punched their tickets to Junior Worlds, which will be held July 9-12 in the San Diego area.

Advancing at Indian Tree Golf Course in Arvada were Timothy Kelley of Moorpark, Calif. and Wes Erling of Colorado Springs in the 13-14 age group, and Jackson Shelley of Salt Lake City and Austin Barry of Fort Collins in the 11-12 divison.

Kelley fired a 1-under-par 69, while Erling posted a 71 and went birdie-birdie in a playoff to prevail over Parker Paxton of Riverton, Wyo.

Among the younger boys, Shelley carded a 72 and Barry a 74.

Overall this week, 12 golfers qualified in Colorado for the Junior Worlds.

Advancing earlier in the 15-18 divisions were Walker Franklin of Broomfield and Jack Hughes of Aspen, and Sofia Choi of Littleton and Aubri Braecklein of Northglenn.

For girls, qualifying in the 13-14 division were Bead Boonta of Centennial and Kaitlyn Zingler of Lakewood. In 11-12, Alexandra Remaklus of Commerce City and Alena Kasanicky of Longmont made the grade.

The Colorado-based Junior World qualifying for the 7-10 year olds is set for Family Sports in Centennial on Wednesday.
