CGA postpones Four-Ball and Super-Senior Match Play; sites remain same

For the first time since the effects of the novel coronavirus started forcing mass rescheduling, postponements and cancellations in golf, CGA championships have been affected.

The association announced on Friday that its first two championships of 2020 — the Four-Ball and the Super-Senior Match Play — have been postponed.

The CGA Four-Ball, originally set for May 1-3 at Legacy Ridge Golf Course in Westminster, will remain at that facility but will be pushed back to Aug. 28-30.

And the CGA Super-Senior Match Play, which had been scheduled for May 12-14 at Indian Peaks Golf Course in Lafayette, has been rescheduled for Sept. 22-24 at Indian Peaks.

All the competitors currently registered for the two events will remain in the field for the rescheduled dates unless they opt to withdraw, in which case they’ll receive a refund.

All other 2020 CGA championships remain in their previously scheduled date slots and at the same sites. The first CGA championship of the season, following Friday’s rescheduling, is the CGA Senior Four-Ball May 26-28 at Thorncreek Golf Course in Thornton.
