3 Coloradans — Katelyn Lehigh, Sophia Lee and Addison Dorsey — advance to match play at U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball

By Gary Baines

Katelyn Lehigh of Loveland seems to have the stroke-play portion of the U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball down pat in recent years.

The graduate of Loveland High School shared stroke-play medalist honors in the event with her older sister, Lauren, in 2024. And last year, Katelyn finished third in stroke played with Amelia Garibaldi of Stockton, Calif., a teammate of hers at Fresno State.

Then on Sunday at the USWAFB, Lehigh and Garibaldi continued the trend, tying for sixth out of 64 teams and easily advancing to match play, which starts on Monday at Daniel Island Club in Charleston, S.C. They went 69-68 to post a 7-under-par total.

Also making match play was Team Colorado members Sophia Lee of Columbine Valley and Addison Dorsey of Colorado Springs, who shot a 5-under-par 67 best ball to advance on the number. Lee and Dorsey rallied from a first-round 74 to end up at 3 under par.

In Monday’s round of 32, Lehigh and Garibaldi will square off with 27th-seeded Bridget O’Keefe of Palo Alto, Calif., and Julie Shin of Brambleton, Va., while Lee and Dorsey will face second-seeded Kiley Reisner of Northridge, Calif., and Summer Schafer of San Diego. Reisner plays for the University of Wyoming.

Here are the stroke-play scores for teams with players with significant Colorado ties at the U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball in Charleston, S.C.:
