Coloradan Josh Seiple earns conditional status on PGA Tour Canada at Q-school

Now Colorado resident Josh Seiple will have conditional status on two PGA Tour-affiliated pro circuits in 2019.

The Castle Pines resident, who will finish up his senior season at the University of Mississippi this month, finished 21st Friday out of 116 players in the sixth and final PGA Tour Canada Q-school tournament, in Courtenay, British Columbia.

By placing in the 15-40 range, Seiple (above) earned conditional status on PGA Tour Canada, where the season begins on May 23.

Seiple landed conditional status on PGA Tour Latinoamerica by placing 32nd in a Q-school tournament in January.

This week, Seiple recorded rounds of 70-71-71-73 for a 3-under-par 285 total. He finished 14 strokes behind medalist Andrew McCain.

In earlier PGA Tour Canada Q-school tournaments, 2018 CGA Amateur champion Kyler Dunkle earned exempt status for the first six events on the circuit, and Coloradans Glenn Workman and Cole Nygren, and former Colorado State University golfer Blake Cannon landed conditional spots.

Meanwhile, in mini-tour action this week, former University of Colorado golfer Jeremy Paul finished second in the season-ending Southeast Valley Spring Championship on the Dreamchasers Pro Golf Tour.

Paul went 67-67-71 for an 11-under-par 205 total in Maricopa, Ariz., where action wrapped up on Thursday. He finished a stroke behind champion Carson Schaake of Omaha, Nev., winning $2,200.

Also posting a top-10 finish out of the 18-man field was Andrew Romano of Lone Tree, who tied for eighth at 1-under 215. ...

And AJ Morris of Aspen ended up third on Monday at the West Florida Golf Tour's Winter Tour Championship in Sarasota, Fla.

Morris carded scores of 72-67 for a 139 total, which left him three shots behind champion Michael VanDeventer of Columbus, Ind. Morris earned $700.
