CU’s Hodgkins makes the most of a few tournaments to earn CGA Women’s Player of Year honors; Franklin named Women’s Senior POY for third straight year
The first round of the 40th CGA Women's Senior Stroke Play Championship was held at City Park Golf Course in Denver today.
Colorado Golf Hall of Famer and last week's winner at the Brassie Championship, Kim Eaton (Northen Colorado e-Club) is tied for the lead after a first-round 73 (+3).
Cindy Snow (Pinery CC) is tied with Eaton at the top of the leaderboard, followed by Marilyn Hardy (Dos Rios GC) and Kathy Malpass (Hiwan GC), who both shot rounds of 75 (+5), putting them two shots behind the leaders going into the final round tomorrow.
This Championship has a total of seven flights with a total of 101 players. Here are the leaders of each flight after one round of competition:
