Locals Jimmy Makloski, Riley Arp and Matthew Liringis among qualifiers for CoBank Colorado Open

Twenty-two players, including three current or former Coloradans, qualified at two sites on Tuesday for the CoBank Colorado Open, which will be held July 29-Aug. 1 at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club in northeast Denver.

Locals advancing include Jimmy Makloski of Pueblo, the Colorado Open low amateur in 2016 (6-under-par 66 to share medalist honors at Todd Creek Golf Club in Thornton), former Fort Collins resident Matthew Liringis (5-under 66 at Collindale Golf Course in Fort Collins) and Riley Arp of Fort Collins (67 at Collindale), who tied for third in the 2018 Colorado Open.

Also among those qualifying was Nick Cantlay of Los Alamitos, Calif., younger brother of Patrick Cantlay, a four-time winner on the PGA Tour. Nick Cantlay posted a 67 at Todd Creek.

The three remaining Colorado Open qualifiers are July 13 at Eagle Ranch Golf Course in Eagle, July 21 at Legacy Ridge Golf Course in Westminster and July 26 at University of Denver Golf Club at Highlands Ranch.
