CGA Amateur set to be held in Colorado Springs for the first time since 1983 By Gary Baines - 7/14/2021 The last time the Country Club of Colorado in
David Nelson of Columbine Country Club, and the 2020 Super Senior Amateur Champion, fired a 2 under par 69 to get himself a two-shot lead heading into the second day of the Championship.
Nelson shot 1 over par on his first nine holes at Fox Hollow Golf Course on Monday, but then came back with a three under par 33 to finish the day with a 69.
Kent Moore of Cherry Hills Country Club and Roger Prenzlow of TPC Colorado both shot rounds of even par (71) and will be two shots back heading into tomorrow's final round.
The three at the top (Nelson, Moore, and Prenzlow) will tee off for the final round tomorrow at 9:20 at Fox Hollow Golf Course in Lakewood.
