Round 2:

The second round of the Four-Ball Championship at Black Bear Golf Club unfolded under pristine conditions. The course, known for its challenging layout, tested the skill and endurance of every participant. Over two days of exceptional golfing weather, the women competitors showcased their resilience and passion for the game. Many expressed how much fun they had, despite the tough conditions, highlighting the camaraderie and spirit of the event.

Among the notable participants were the Clydesdale sisters, who shared a heartwarming story about their golfing journey. It wasn’t until they moved to Colorado about 20 years ago that they started playing golf together. Although new to the Four-Ball Championship, they have previously competed in the Mashie, another CGA event. They praised the CGA events for their fun atmosphere and excellent organization, making their experience memorable.

The Champion Flight Low Gross winners, Holly Schaefer and Tiffany Maurycy, added another victory to their impressive record. Having won the Mashie together in the past, they were ecstatic to claim another CGA Championship as a team. Tiffany recounted how Janet Moore had paired them up a few years ago during a CGA women's championship, leading to a successful and harmonious partnership on the course. Holly noted the tough pin placements, but embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, demonstrating her competitive spirit and skill.

The success of the tournament was also due to the invaluable contributions of the volunteers. Their dedication and hard work are the backbone of these events, ensuring everything runs smoothly. This year's Four-Ball was a resounding success, leaving participants and organizers alike looking forward to future tournaments. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Black Bear Golf Club for hosting such a fantastic event.
