2025 Niblick Tournament
June 11 | Estes Park Golf Course, Estes Park, CO
Recap
For 19 years and counting, the Colorado Golf Association has hosted the CGA Niblick Tournament—an event designed specifically for women golfers with handicaps between 18.0 and 36.0.
This year’s edition was held on Wednesday, June 11, at Estes Park Golf Course, featuring 44 teams (88 players) in a Four-Ball Stroke Play format.
Teams were pre-flighted by combined Playing Handicap, and each flight awarded both low net and low gross finishers. In addition, Overall Low Net Team Honors were awarded to the best-performing twosome in the field.
The defending Overall Net Champions from 2024 were Patricia Graham and Sarah Patterson, who took home the title last year at Homestead Golf Course.
This year’s Overall Low Net Champions, Carrie Logan and Pamela Vendegna of Estes Park, fired an impressive 4-under 68. As members of Estes Park Golf Course, the local duo made the most of their home-course

Notes & Highlights:
- The day began with a brisk 65 degrees and warmed up to a perfect 75 degrees mostly calm conditions. A light breeze lingered throughout, though a brief rain shower caught a few competitors as they finished their final hole.
- The CGA also hosted a Closest to the Hole contest, with Karen DeSantis claiming the honors on Hole #2 and Paulette Dalpes taking the win on Hole #10.
Fun Fact: A “niblick” was one of golf’s earliest wedges, used for short approach and bunker shots—though today’s gear has come a long way!
