ADVICE: As a recent caddie graduate and Chick Evans Scholar, my advice to a first-year caddie is to show up consistently, stay humble, and always be eager to learn. The early mornings and long rounds may feel tough at first, but every loop teaches you something valuable. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and learn from more experienced caddies. This job can expand your horizons and leaves you with so many new opportunities, just like it did for me. Stay committed, and you’ll be amazed at where it can take you.

ADVICE: I would say that be comfortable with being uncomfortable. What I mean by in the statement is that allow yourself to be open to the unfamiliarity that comes with being a caddy whether you go into this program, knowing the game of golf or not. This was very beneficial for me because overtime I was able to become more confident within the job and that would’ve never happened if I wasn’t open or “ too scared” to something new like caddying.

As they step onto new campuses and pursue new goals, they carry the lessons of teamwork, responsibility, and perseverance that define what it means to be a caddie. From first tee to graduation day, we’re proud to honor all they’ve achieved!
