2025 CGA Senior Four-ball Championship

5/14/2025

PARKER – At the beginning of the 2025 CGA Senior Four-Ball Championship at Black Bear Golf Club, nine returning champion teams were eyeing a return to victory. However, the duo of Richard Bradsby (Lakewood CC) and Jon Lindstrom (Lakewood CC) took the lead on days one and two, only to fight off intense competition in the final round.

After round one, Bradsby and Lindstrom were 11-under, with the Douglas Rex (Lone Tree GC) and Brad Whitehead (Lone Tree GC) team at 8-under, hoping to close that gap on day two. However, Sean Forey (Club at Rolling Hills) and Kevin Ott (Club at Rolling Hills) played a 5-under round to move into the second spot after round two.

Bradsby and Lindstrom dominated round two, finishing the day at 17-under, four shots ahead. While defending champions Owen Ellis (Flatirons GC) and Jeff Crosier (Flatirons GC) made a charge, shooting 63 to move up the leaderboard going into the final round.

During the final round, several groups knocked on the leaders’ doors. Steve Lind (Harmony Club) and David Johnson (TPC Colorado) came out strong, going 10-under for the final round and finishing 20-under overall. However, in the end, Bradsby and Lindstrom finished on top, 21-under par, to be crowned champions and add to their list of golf accomplishments.

“All day, we kept track of the group we were playing with and tried to stay ahead of them. Then, on the 17th hole, they told us to check the leaderboard. That is when we knew we needed to finish strong and make some putts,” said Lindstrom.

This dynamic duo is no stranger to victories. Lindstrom will be inducted into the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame later this year. His accolades include ranking 15th in the world among amateurs 55 and older, and in 2023, he won the Trans-Mississippi Senior Championship and Golfweek Senior Division National Championship. He has competed in more than 20 USGA Championships. Additionally, he was previously named CGA Mid-Am Player of the Year and CGA Senior Player of the Year. At the same time, Bradsby was the low amateur in the 2024 Colorado Senior Open and won the CGA Senior Western Championship.
