Super-Senior Match Play Championship- Day 1 Recap

Defending champion, Kent Moore enjoyed a first-round bye in the first round of the 2022 CGA Super-Senior Match Play Championship at The Broadlands Golf Course in Broomfield.  Moore, who will face Lonnie Miller of Grand Junction in the second day of Pod Play, is making his bid for a fourth Super-Senior Match Play title.

Other former champions to either win or receive a bye in the first round included 2018 winner Harry Johnson of Eagle Ranch Golf Course (bye), and 2019 champ, Sean Forey of Rolling Hills who defeated Charlton Holmes of Eagle Springs Golf Course 4 and 3.

The field of 28 players will be narrowed to the quarter-finals following three rounds of Pod Play.  The quarter-finals will be played on Wednesday afternoon with the semi-finals and championship final slated for Thursday.
