Wyndham Clark was a busy golfer at the 2026 Presidents Cup — one of just three Americans to play in all five sessions at Medinah Country Club in Illinois.
The Denver native and Colorado Golf Hall of Famer will leave this week’s event with a mixed bag. While the two-time U.S. Open champion went 1-4 personally at Medinah, his American team scored a big comeback on Sunday, rallying from three-point deficit to defeat the Internationals 17-13. It marked the USA’s 14th victory in the event, with one loss and one tie.
In Clark’s two times representing the Americans at the Presidents Cup — 2024 and ’26 — they’ve gone 2-0.
This time around, the U.S. went a stellar 9-2-1 in Sunday’s singles matches, with the only American losses being Clark falling 3 and 2 to the International’s emotional leader Tom Kim, and Sam Burns 3 and 1 to Sungjae Im. Kim posted a team-best 4-1 record this week for the International squad.
Clark started off the week in strong fashion, partnering with Collin Morikawa for a 3-and-2 four-ball victory on Thursday. But he went 0-4 the rest of the way personally, including losing twice to Kim (in Saturday four-ball and Sunday singles) to drop to 0-3 against the South Korean all-time in the Presidents Cup.
Clark was ahead or tied on the back nine in all five of his matches — at some point or other. His good putting during this three-win season on the PGA Tour was once again generally a strong point this week, despite his 1-4 record.
The Valor Christian High School grad, now ranked fifth in the world, owns a 2-6-1 record overall at the Presidents Cup in his two appearances.

Former DU Golfers Match 9th-Place Finishes on Ladies European Tour: Two former University of Denver golfers — Ellie Givens and Anna Zanusso — tied for ninth place at the Ladies European Tour’s Buccellati Ladies Italy Open on Sunday. Each earned 8,050 euros ($9,197).
Zanusso, a resident of Italy, posted rounds of 72-68-70 for a 6-under-par total, which left her six strokes behind winner Casandra Alexander. Givens, an Englishwoman who notched her first LET victory last month at age 37, also checked in at 6 under, in her case carding scores of 72-68-70.
