After being paired in final round, Colorado Golf Hall of Famer Jennifer Kupcho and former CU golfer Robyn Choi tie for 8th at LPGA Tour event; it’s Kupcho’s 26th top-10 on LPGA circuit; ex-Air Force golfer Kyle Westmoreland third in Korn Ferry tourney

It was nine years ago this month that Colorado native Jennifer Kupcho and University of Colorado golfer Robyn Choi qualified — as amateurs — at Riverdale Dunes in Brighton for the U.S. Women’s Open, earning the two available berths at the site.
Fast forward to Sunday, and the two were paired for the final round of the LPGA Tour’s Kroger Queen City Championship in Cincinnati. Not only that, but they matched 67s and tied for eighth — with world No. 1 Nelly Korda and LPGA Hall of Famer Lydia Ko. Kupcho carded that 67 on Sunday despite a double bogey at the fourth hole.
That continued a very strong run of golf for Kupcho, a 2024 Colorado Golf Hall of Fame inductee. In her last four events, the Jefferson Academy graduate has placed 13th, 12th, 12th and eighth. Sunday marked the 26thLPGA top-10 finish for Kupcho, who’s won four times.
In Cincinnati, Kupcho went 70-66-72-67 for a 5-under-par total, which left her seven strokes behind winner Lottie Woad of England.
As for Choi, the eighth place is one of three career LPGA Tour top10s — to go with a ninth place last season and a sixth place at a co-sanctioned tournament in 2020 — the ISPS Handa Vic Open. This week, Choi carded scores of 71-67-70-67.
Kupcho and Choi each earned $43,590 at the Cincinnati tour stop.
Next up for Kupcho is her title defense at ShopRite LPGA in Galloway, N.J., May 29-31.

— Former Air Force Academy golfer Kyle Westmoreland finished a season-best third on Sunday in the Korn Ferry Tour’s Colonial Life Charity Classic in Elgin in Westmoreland’s home state, South Carolina.
Westmoreland posted scores of 67-68-65-66 for a 14-under-par, leaving him two back of winner Cole Sherwood.
Westmoreland, who finished fourth at a KFT event in March, moved up to 26th on the tour’s season-long points list.
— Former CU golfer Jenny Simpson recorded her second top-10 finish of 2026 on the Epson Tour by tying for ninth on Saturday in the Copper Rock Championship in Hurricane, Utah.
Coleman shot 68-73-67 for an 8-under-par total. Fiona Xu won at 13 under. Coleman finished 10th last month in the IOA Championship.
