Glenwood Springs, Colorado - Collin Engelhardt never let up at Ironbridge Golf Club, posting three consecutive rounds of 69 to cruise to a five-shot victory and finish at 9-under-par 207.
Engelhardt (Castle Pines, CO) was the model of consistency throughout the tournament, opening with a 3-under 69 before matching that score in each of his final two rounds. Engelhardt finished the three-round event at 9-under 207, comfortably ahead of the field.
“I hit my irons well this week, which really bailed me out with the driver and putter,” said Engelhardt. “It was beautiful scenery with great 54 holes of golf with the guys.”
Aaron Irving (Golden, CO) finished runner-up at 4-under 212 after rounds of 70, 68, and 74. Irving briefly closed the gap with a 4-under 68 in the second round, but Engelhardt's steady play kept him firmly in control heading into the final round.
Bryan Rusin (Englewood, CO) finished third at even-par 216. Rusin saved his best round for Saturday, carding a 2-under 70 to move into solo third.
The battle for fourth was considerably tighter. AJ Morris (Aspen, CO) and Michael Feyen (Steamboat Springs, CO) both finished at 2-over 218, with Morris earning fourth place on the leaderboard. Morris closed with a 2-under 70, while Feyen posted a final-round 72.
Cooper Kelly (Centennial, CO) finished sixth at 3-over 219, followed by Glenn Walls and Matt Wells, who shared seventh at 4-over 220. Derek Brown (Edwards, CO) rounded out the top nine at 5-over 221.
Joel Perez (Longmont, CO) and Taylor Ross (Pueblo West, CO) both finished at 7-over 223, while Gavin Crowley (Littleton, CO) finished at 223.
Engelhardt's three-round performance ultimately separated him from the field. After opening with a 69, he followed with another 69 in Round 2 and closed the tournament with a third consecutive 69 — never shooting over par in any round.
The result gave Engelhardt a commanding five-shot margin and a tournament total of 207, highlighted by a remarkable display of consistency from start to finish at Ironbridge.
Greg Pattison (Arvada, CO) overcame a challenging middle round to capture the Senior Division title at Ironbridge Golf Club, finishing at 2-over-par 218 and winning by five strokes.
Pattison got off to a fast start with a 3-under 69 in the opening round, immediately putting himself at the top of the leaderboard. After a 76 in Round 2, Pattison maintained his position heading into the final round and closed with a 1-over 73 to secure the victory.
His three-round total of 69-76-73—218 was enough to keep the field at bay.
Sean Crowley (Littleton, CO) finished runner-up at 7-over 223. Crowley posted rounds of 74, 76, and 73, matching Pattison's final-round 73 but ultimately finishing five shots behind the champion.
Adam Kugler (Edwards, CO) rounded out the top three at 9-over 225. Kugler opened with a 75, followed with a 1-over 73 in the second round and closed with a 77.
Jason Scott (Conifer, CO) finished fourth at 10-over 226 after rounds of 72, 76, and 78.
The battle for fifth was a tie between Robin Bradbury (Berthoud, CO) and Kirk Schneider (Carbondale, CO), with both players finishing at 14-over 230. Bradbury closed with a 78, while Schneider posted a 79.
Douglas Rex (Denver, CO) finished seventh at 15-over 231, while Chris Carlson (Highlands Ranch, CO) took eighth at 16-over 232 after saving his best round for last with a 2-over 74.
Brad Whitehead (Centennial, CO) finished ninth at 22-over 238, followed by Dave Sorel (Glenwood Springs, CO) at 23-over 239.
While Pattison's opening 69 was the lowest round on the leaderboard, it was his ability to recover after the second-round 76 that ultimately proved decisive. He entered the final round with the lead and delivered a steady 73 to turn that advantage into a five-shot victory.
A strong start, a resilient finish, and a five-stroke margin gave Pattison the top spot when it mattered most at Ironbridge Golf Club.
